Buzz Junior Spotlight on
Can an edgy hard-rock band resolve the paradox of its decidedly aggressive
presentation and its message of balance, spiritual healing and unity? You bet!—presenting Ft. Lauderdale, Florida-based rockers My Amends.
This dynamic, high-energy group is made up of five very creative, distinctive and talented individuals that form a solid seamless whole in their own original fashion. Pushing the boundaries of Post-Punk-Grunge-Hardcore, My Amends is undeniable and unforgettable both live and on disc and this become immediately and abundantly clear when listening to their Ingenious Records full-length debut CD release, Acceptions. Selected as an iTunes “New & Noteworthy Rock Album of the Week,” included on AOL’s “Listening Party,” chosen as Melodic.net’s “Artist of the Week,” and having “Slaves” (a single from the CD) selected as one of five featured tracks on the UK’s Zippo Encore site, Acceptions is already proving to be an extremely successful debut.
Formed in 2008 after working together individually in several different bands during the previous several years, My Amends has been performing nation-wide for, and appreciated world-wide by, enthusiastic audiences that can’t seem to get enough of these gutsy rockers. Their music has also been featured on ESPN and WWE Action Figures Web campaigns. Performing with other notable bands such as Every Time I Die, The Sleeping, Poison the Well, Vanna, and Strait Line Stitch, among others, they’ve been building a solid, exuberant fan base everywhere they appear as they continue to hone their already well developed sound. This is definitely a group for the here and now and one to watch for in the future. My Amends feel most comfortable on the road, sharing what they love doing across the lands.
“My Amends Makes no amends for their Hard-Driving, intensely emotional sound and brutally honest lyrics.”
|Beth Feinstein-Bartl, Sun-Sentinel|
“This is a new band that has the rare ability to appeal to a wide verity of ages. The youth will love it, the mid twenties will relate to it and those older fans of our rock world will appreciate the ability of the driving guitars that push these songs along.”

Made In Waves
As of Jan. 2014, the band now goes by the name Made In Waves. I recently interviewed Evan Thomas (Vocals/Keyboard) about their changes to the band, new music, touring and more! Check it out!!
Missouri-based alternative metal band, Ghost in the Machine (GITM), was founded by guitarists Bryan Kay and Dan Schram, bassist Billy Dearing, drummer TJ White, and vocalist Jeff Blumer in the fall of 2004.
Like many bands, lineup changes plagued them for many of their early years. After releasing their 2005 self-titled EP, drummer TJ White was replaced by Letter by Hour drummer, Chris Loeffler. The band spent the next few years writing new music and developing a rock-solid fan base all across the Midwest. Shortly before the release of their long-awaited 2010 full length album, “Equip to Cope,” bassist Billy Dearing was replaced by Farewell to a Legend bassist, Ethan Mueller. Just months after the release of “Equip to Cope” both Mueller and vocalist, Jeff Blumer, mutually left the band to pursue school and family interests.
The new lineup was finally complete in the fall of 2011 with the addition of bassist Jonathan Hagood and vocalist Evan Thomas, who were both members of St. Louis band Key to My Spaceship. The band hit the ground running, opening for national acts, performing across the midwest, and even winning 105.7 The Point’s Battle for Pointfest in May of 2012, which found them opening for Incubus, Chevelle, Cypress Hill, and P.O.D. at the acclaimed St. Louis summer festival.
Maintaining their status as a must-see live act, they have directed their efforts toward the growing St. Louis music scene, with intentions to keep stretching further and further outward. The band recently finished recording their highly-anticipated new EP “Earth Island” which was released in November of 2012.
